How We Are Keeping You Safe Through COVID-19

September 2021

With the changing environment of Covid-19 since this second wave outbreak, we at Dr Gwendolin Flanagan Dental have added a supportive extra layer in addition to our robust infection control protocols already in place. Like our patients, our staff will only be attending if they are well. We follow the same stringent screening as our patients and have undertaken a Covid Vaccination and Testing Programme for all our staff members.

Our patients will have noticed that we have always worn Personal Protective equipment (PPE) including masks, gloves, dental jackets and glasses to name a few. We have recently added protective headwear, face shields and cover gowns in some areas of our practice. It will still be us underneath, happy to be able to continue looking after you.

Since the beginning of these Covid Days, regular environmental cleaning in high-touch areas has been a priority with us. We are continuing this practice as well as our regular hand hygiene. Alcohol rub hand hygiene stations continue to be available to patients in the reception and surgery areas. Hand hygiene is as important for you the patient as it is for us. Pre-operative mouth rinses are still part of our Covid Safe Plan. We have a variety of approved solutions available to accommodate different patient needs.

This has indeed been a difficult time for all of us. I would like to thank each and every one of our patients for their understanding during this lockdown. We are always here to look after you and answer any of your questions or concerns. We strive to stay safe and keep you safe as well.

Gwen and all the team.

To all our valued patients,

As you know we are now on a week lockdown as of 5pm Thursday, August 5th. During this time we are restricted to emergency treatments only for our patients. Please be assured that we will resume normal practice as soon as permitted. We are being guided by government directives that are handed down on a daily basis. Please follow this link to read important information from the ADA on COVID guidelines as well as what you need to know as a patient ahead of your next dental appointment.
