Cosmetic Dentistry

Your health is your dentist’s number one priority! Your dental team also wants you to feel that your smile looks its best. We offer a full range of cosmetic dentistry service to meet your needs.

If you’re unhappy with the appearance of your teeth, you should know that modern cosmetic dentistry offers help to correct common issues that many people deal with. Discuss the goals you have for your smile with your dentist so that we can design a comprehensive treatment plan for you!

Professional Teeth Whitening

Whitening your teeth is one of the simplest and most cost-effective improvements you can make. We carry professional whitening systems to use conveniently at home, or for instant results you can opt for in-office teeth whitening.

Results vary depending on your level of staining on your teeth and how diligently you care for your teeth at home. Of course, staining habits such as tobacco use or coffee consumption can cause your teeth to re-stain more quickly and may require retreatment.

We will be happy to discuss the teeth whitening system that works best for you.

Cosmetic Porcelain Veneers

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

A veneer is a thin piece of porcelain or composite resin that our dentist will bond to the front of your tooth. Veneers can be used to correct cosmetic problems by improving the colour, shape, length, or size of a tooth. You can get one veneer or multiple veneers, depending on your cosmetic dentistry goals.

Tooth-Coloured Restorations

Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

Composite resins are tooth-coloured fillings that repair your tooth in the event of dental decay. A restoration no longer needs to leave a visible mark on your smile and we can accurately match the shade of your filling to match your natural tooth.

We can also use composite resins to make small cosmetic improvements to your smile such as fixing small chips, gaps, or wear. Your dentist will apply the material in a putty-like state to the surface of your tooth to give it the proper shape. The material hardens, and then your dentist trims and polishes it further to blend it in well.

Porcelain crowns provide us an alternative to metal or metal-blend crowns that can make your tooth have a dark appearance. If you need a porcelain crown or they are part of your cosmetic dentistry treatment plan, we will ensure a good match for a seamless appearance to your smile.

Schedule Your Consultation

Your first step toward a nicer looking smile is contacting our office to schedule a consultation. Your dentist will listen to your concerns and design a personal treatment plan!

Frequently Asked Questions

You are never too old to have a beautiful smile. People are living longer than ever and enjoying active social lives well into their senior years.

Call us to find out what we can do to help you improve the appearance of your smile.

It shouldn't, but if you have certain conditions, such as gum recession, we may need to alter your treatment.

Most professional whitening products contain a desensitising ingredient that protects sensitive teeth and keeps you comfortable during your treatment. Additionally, the customisable nature of professional whitening treatments prevents the product from coming into contact with soft tissues like your gums, lips, and tongue.

If your teeth are sensitive, please talk to us so that we can help you determine whether whitening is appropriate for you.

If you want a brighter smile, we recommend whitening your teeth before you seek restorative work. Dental restorations do not whiten with teeth whitening systems and you can end up with a mismatched smile. Whitening your teeth first will allow us to match your dental restorations to your whitened teeth.

Dental crowns are durable, but not indestructible. Treating them like you treat your natural teeth is a good approach. Avoid biting into anything that is not food or not meant to be chewed. That includes hard candy, ice cubes, and even some nuts. Be cautious when biting into olives with pits and stone fruits, such as cherries.

In the event that you damage your restoration, give us a call so we can address the problem!

If the chip in your tooth is small and located in the right place, we may be able to repair it using cosmetic dental bonding. Our dentist will perform an exam to determine if dental bonding can benefit you.
