Introducing Our Medicare Services
We are excited to announce that our Oral Health Therapists, Danielle Lo and Kristy Page, are now accepting CDBS Bulk Billed Patients under Medicare. This means we can offer even more families access to essential dental care for their children. Look for the Medicare emblem when you visit our office!

- Support for Children’s Dental Treatment
The CDBS is a programme for eligible children that provides up to $1,095 in benefits (the benefit cap) over a relevant two-calendar-year period for basic dental services. Services can be provided in a public or private setting. However, benefits are not available for all dental services including orthodontic, cosmetic dental work or any services provided in a hospital.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) under Medicare covers part or all of the cost of essential dental services for children, including:
- Examinations
- Some X-rays
- Cleaning
- Fissure Sealing
- Fillings
- Root Canals
- Extractions
For your child to be eligible, they must be between 0 and 17 years old, eligible for Medicare, and receiving a payment from the government at least once. Your child’s dental treatment is only bulk billed if they are eligible, their treatment is covered by Medicare, and they have not exceeded their treatment limit. Gwen is Newcastle born and bred, growing up in Cooks Hill before graduating in dentistry at Sydney University in 1987. Gwen brings years of experience, gained from practicing dentistry in Public Hospitals and Private Practice in Sydney and also working overseas in the United Kingdom (British) dental system.
