In September Gwen was fortunate to be able to attend the AOS ASP APS combined conference. The combining of the Australian Osseointegration Society, the Australian Society of Prosthodontics and the Australian Periodontal Society brought together three major dental societies. With a focus on ‘Staying between the flags’ lectures and workshops on safe and reliable practice in dental implant placement and restoration were presented over three days. An implant focused trade presentation let us wander between many company booths that offered up to date materials and implant componentry. With the Gold Coast as a backdrop there was also time to catch up with colleagues and old friends after a day of inspiring presentations. The Gala dinner at Sea World was a final treat before we all headed back to our dental practices inspired and enthused.
